Another Image from my first trip to Eglwysilan Common, a classic leading line composition . The subject of the hill track solid, hard in nature, is contrasted with the soft feel of the clouds

The Way Ahead

Top image this week comes from a scouting trip to Eglwsilan Common. Due to the Corona Lockdown in Wales we're restricted to taken exercise within 5 miles from home. 

The common is 5 minutes  behind where I live on what was a very hot May Saturday I captured this gent walking on the track cutting through the hills with a shopping bag in hand I can only imagine he was taken a visually stunning walk up the valley . More to come from this location, (See Map)

A Lockdown walk Image take's the top slot this week,. Northern aspect of Caerphilly Castle. part of a set taken of this side of the castle . Taken with a dramatic Spring Sky . Never get bored of the castle challenge is to find different views 

Used the Nikon D3200 and Tamron 10-24 Super Wide Zoom set at 19mm, F8 , 1/250Sec and 100 iso

Last week as with the 2 prior weeks the top Image of the Week is a still life studio image . Another product of Lockdown. A Macro photograph of a part blown Dandelion with water sprayed on the seeds.

Macro photography is a real challenge and as with all skills needs practice , I can assure you failures out way success ,management of the depth of field and light to get it right is a real test. As the say Test and Learn.

Taken with a Nikon D2X , Tolina 100mm Lens set at F14 (For depth) 200th/Sec , iso 100, Flash assisted and supported on a tripod
