100’s of potential Images -- Caerphilly Castle

Living in Caerphilly, I’m fortunate to live in a Town that has an amazing photographic location slap bang in its centre , the most stunning Medieval Castle . Constructed by the nobleman Gilbert de Clare, Earl of Gloucester and Lord of Glamorgan, the castle second largest in the UK after Windsor with 30 acres of walls, towers and water defences . A legacy of the Civil War is its iconic leaning Tower .

Its a great location for a photography walk with countless opportunity to capture images . With the moat affording shots of the castle reflected in water at the southern aspect . Add differing weather conditions and you just cannot get bored with visiting the grounds and castle. My favourite visit is during the night with the flood lights, delivering magical views .
