Image of the Week (W/C 27th June 2022)

Black and white image of surface water and mud ,location was Penallta Parc upper aspect . The site is a reclaimed coal tip, so the mud in the image is 90% coal based not for walking in .

Taken in the Winter black and white respresentation gives off a cold feel. Surface water set up a leading line into the image.

Taken with Nikon D2X fitted with the Nikkor 35-70mm Lens , settings 35mm,F6.3,1/160thSec and 100 ISO

An old favorite location tops the bill last week, true to my view in 100's of potential images, Caerphilly castle just doesn't stop giving photographic opportuneties .

Taken during a Boxing Day walk , the overcast sky delivered a dark background to this exceptional location . Taken with a Nikon D3200 fitted with a Tamron 18 -250mm Lens . Settings 35mm, F6.3, 1/160thSec and 100 ISO

I do find myself drawn to the visual impact of Wind Turbines , this sole examples taken at Pen - y - Fan Pond . Taken in portrait aspect I used the tree's to frame the subjected supported with the path as a leading line.

Taken with a Panasonic TZ70 my point and shot king. Settings 16mm, F4.6,1/60thSec and 125 ISO

This image has been present on the home page for a number of weeks and attracted lots of attention on social media and is available for purchase via 500PX . Early spring flowers spotted on a trip to Penallta Park.

Taken using my "Jack of all Trade" lens Tamron 18-250 , its macro setting really punch's above its weight. Taken with a Nikon D3200 settings 155mm,F6.3,1/250thSec and 560 ISO

A revisted image from 2017, taken at Talybont on Usk , in the Brecon Beacons, a very gray overcast day just added to the mood within the image, processed to deliver a soft result the composition  screams calmness.
